Behind the façade of this former fisherman’s cottage lies a stunning two-level restaurant with balcony seating area offering spectacular sea views, a characterful traditional pub and beer garden.  

With a focus on contemporary Scottish dining, menus are designed to cater for the whole family and all dining requirements, while shining a spotlight on the amazing produce Mull and the surrounding area has to offer. We strive to offer as much locally-sourced produce as possible, giving our relaxed, upmarket pub dining style a fresh local twist.  All of our shellfish is sourced from local fisherman and comes directly from the bay in front of Macgochans, with langoustines, mussels, scallops and smoked salmon all regular superstars on our menus; and much of our meat - from beef to burgers and pork to sausages - comes from local farms, Glengorm and Sgriob-Ruadh.

Equal to the quality of food is the service we provide, ensuring each customer is looked after from start to finish, with friendly yet efficient service. Whether you're visiting for a light snack, a tasting of our local malt selection or an evening meal, you will be met with a smile from one of our fantastic team!

The pub is the social hub of Tobermory. A regular spot for live entertainment, it hosts everything from regular jam sessions for local musicians to discos, quiz nights and musicians from throughout Scotland to entertain visitors and locals alike. We offer a wide array of malts from throughout Scotland, allowing you try from the most peaty ranges (Islay) to some of the softer styles (Speyside). The bar also holds all current and past bottlings from both the Tobermory and Ledaig ranges from Tobermory Distillery, which is adjacent to Macgochans. Complementing the malts is a great selection of local gins and exclusively-selected wines, alongside a great range of beers on draught.
